Caroline Hounsell

A leading light in the field of mental health, Caroline Hounsell is committed to improving the outlook of young people’s wellbeing.  As a highly qualified psychotherapist, trained Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor and lead National Trainer, Caroline has a grassroots understanding of the mental health issues facing young people in today’s society.  It is because of her passion to increase people’s knowledge around youth mental health that Caroline is making great inroads in her role as a Director for MHFA England, with over 300,000 MHFAiders trained to date.  With a previous background as a careers consultant and psychometric testing expert for schools across Europe and UK, Caroline has a clear understanding of how MHFA fits into the Youth market and is very informed around this subject area. She also has lived experience of being a young carer for a family member who had mental health issues.
